Harley Davidson V-Rod Muscle. Dec 08
With broad shouldered air scoops, large volume dual exhaust and a huge 240mm rear tyre spinning under a clean, clipped fender, the Muscle offers a contemporary blend of style and performance.
The Muscle pushes the Harley-Davidson VRSC platform onto new turf, where it aims to hold its ground. The Muscle joins the VRSCAW V-Rod and the VRSCDX Night Rod Special in the 2009 Harley-Davidson VRSC line-up. Each is powered by the Revolution liquid-cooled engine. All VRSC models also feature a fat, 240mm rear tyre, high performance Brembo triple disc brakes with ABS as standard, and a race-bred clutch with "slipper" action that helps smooth the transmission during rapid downshifting. A long, low profile inspired by the drag strip and the free revving performance of the Revolution engine give each VRSC model an unmatched combination of style and performance.
VRSC Key Features
-1250cc Revolution engine: Standard on all 2009 VRSC models, the 60-degree, 1250cc Revolution engine is liquid-cooled and features Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), dual overhead cams, four-valve heads, and five-speed transmission. The engine is rubber mounted in a hydroformed steel perimeter frame. A steel shell covers the large volume airbox located over the engine. A 18.9 litre fuel tank is located below the seat on all VRSC models. The engine is tuned to produce up to 123 hp at 8000 rpm and up to 115 Nm of torque
-Standard ABS: Each VRSC model is now fitted with a sophisticated Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). Designed to work in conjunction with high performance Brembo triple disc brakes, this is the most advanced braking system offered on any power cruiser. ABS is designed to help the rider maintain control during braking events, especially those that happen in less than optimal conditions. The components of the Harley-Davidson ABS have been designed and packaged to be virtually invisible, preserving the uncluttered styling of the area around the wheels. Unlike many motorcycle ABS, Harley-Davidson ABS is not a linked system, meaning the rider maintains full, independent control of both front and rear brakes.
VRSCF V-Rod Muscle
The wide, angular air-box cover and chopped tail section give the new V-Rod Muscle lines that are clean, athletic, and powerful. The size of the massive 240mm rear tyre is accentuated by the new broad, clipped and clean rear fender combined with an integrated LED rear light. Front end styling balances the rear, with a trimmed fender that's blacked out behind satin finished inverted forks and LED turn signals integrated into the mirror stems. The radiator shrouds are strikingly restyled and colour matched to the rest of the body work, while the new airbox side covers incorporate air scoop inlets covered with woven wire mesh. The sturdy black five-spoke cast aluminium front and rear wheels are a new design for the VRSC range.

Raked out to 34 degrees, 49mm forks hold an anodised aluminium profile laced front wheel. Drag handlebars and forward foot controls put the rider in an aggressive clam-shell riding posture. A contrasting racing stripe paint scheme traces the length of the bike.
