The company has taken over the Adelaide Ion foundry and will focus solely on motorcycle parts. H-D has bought only the plant and operations and not the land, which is now owned by the South Australian government. It is unusual for Harley-Davidson to buy other companys and shows how important Castalloy was to Harley.
