Gold Coast to host a round of 2026 World Supercross
The FIM World Supercross Championship has released its provisional calendar for the 2026 season, which includes an Australian GP to be held on the Gold Coast in November. The Australian GP will be the fourth of six rounds in this year’s running of the international supercross championship.

What had been a US- and Canada-based championship since its inception in 2009 went international in 2022 with rounds in the UK and Australia, followed more recently by rounds in the UAE, Sweden, South Africa and Argentina.
The provisional 2026 World Supercross calendar will get underway in Canada at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium on 8 August, before a return to the UK on 10 October, this time at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium. Buenos Aires follows on 24 October at Autódromo Oscar & Juan Gálvez.

The Australian round is scheduled for 21 November at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast. The same venue hosted Round 3 of last year’s six-round championship.
South Africa is locked in for Round 5, but a venue and date have yet to be announced, while a sixth and final round remains TBA in terms of date and venue.

“This [provisional calendar] announcement is the next step in building our biggest season yet,” said World Supercross CEO Tom Burwell.
“Returning to strong markets like Canada, Argentina, South Africa and Australia highlights how these GPs have grown year on year, while bringing the championship back to the UK is something fans have been asking for.
“With another round still to be revealed, there is even more to come.”

FIM Motocross Commission Director Antonio Alia Portela added that the schedule balanced established markets with the series’ broader global ambitions.
“World Supercross continues to demonstrate its global ambition and elite standard of racing,” Portela said. “The 2026 calendar announced so far reflects a strong balance of established markets and world-class destinations, and we look forward to seeing the full calendar confirmed soon.”
Further calendar announcements, along with details of teams and riders, will be released in the lead-up to the 2026 season opener in August.
