GasGas create factory replica MC 450F

GasGas have tapped into the spec and style of their factory AMA SX and MX team bikes to produce a special edition of the MC 450F.

The ‘MC 450F Troy Lee Designs’ is the first ever factory replica to be offered by the reborn GasGas brand and comes finished in Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GasGas Factory Racing graphics including the #51 race plate of factory AMA SX and Pro MX rider Justin Barcia,.

Loaded with much of the same gear used in the factory bikes, the MC 450F Troy Lee Designs also produces more power than a stock MC 450F.

The upgrade parts start with an Akrapovic “Slip-On Line” exhaust that GasGas Australia says significantly improves torque and adds an overall performance boost.

A map select switch is fitted for easy engine mapping changes on the go, with a factory start device and hour meter also added.

The wheels are upgraded to black factory units and the standard Nexen tyres are upgraded to Dunlop Geomax MX33s, while internals for the WP XACT suspension – front and rear - are firmer than on a standard MC 450F.

For improved braking performance, a semi-floating front brake disc is fitted, protected by a disc guard, with additional protective parts including a composite engine bash plate and frame protection kit.

A black rear sprocket, adjustable factory triple clamps with a red anodised finish, Hinson clutch cover, gold chain and softer ODI lock-on grips are also fitted, while a Troy Lee Designs factory racing seat cover and a black Neken Fat Bar with GasGas pad complete the MC 450F Troy Lee Designs package.

If you already have an MC 450F, many of these parts are available through the GasGas Technical Accessories range.

Limited numbers of the GasGas MC 450F Troy Lee Designs are due to reach Australia in March, and while pricing hadn’t been revealed at time of writing, the abundance of upgraded parts should see it sell for around $15,000 - a significant upgrade over the regular MC 450F, which currently sells for around $11,000-12,000.
