There was a novel twist to the V8 Supercar season opener at the Clipsal 500 event in Adelaide - but it wasn't in the racing.

Rather than the usual sportscars or convertibles serving duty for the pre-race driver's parade, the V8 guys (plus a few grid girls) did their parade lap riding pillion on the back of a fleet of Harley-Davidsons.
