In 2026, the United States of America marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence established the nation. What’s expected to be the USA’s biggest party since the bicentenary of independence in 1976 will also be celebrated at Harley-Davidson. The All-American motorcycle company has announced a set of All-American special editions for this year’s Enthusiast Collection.

Separate from the Icons Collection that tap into Harley-Davidson history, bikes in the Enthusiast Collection are based around a theme, with special paint treatments, badging and details that are unique to these limited editions. Launched in 2022, the first Enthusiast Collection was a ‘G.I.’ version of the Pan America 1250 and Tri Glide Ultra that adopted military-inspired paint and graphics.
The ‘Fast Johnnie’ range followed in 2023, drawing inspiration from the colours and graphics of American muscle car culture, as well as Harley’s own early racing history. This was the first time the Enthusiast Collection was available in Australia. In 2024, there was the ‘Tobacco Fade’ range with fadeaway paint treatment that tapped into the look of Gibson guitars that became synonymous with rock ‘n’ roll in the 1960s and ‘70s.
The Enthusiast Collection skipped 2025, but is back this year, inspired by and paying tribute to the USA in its semiquincentennary with the ‘Liberty Edition’.

Liberty x 3
Bikes offered under the Enthusiast Collection Liberty Edition are the Street Glide (FLHX) bagger, Street Glide 3 Limited (FLHLT) trike, and Heritage Classic (FLHC) cruiser. According to Harley-Davidson, these special motorcycles honour the spirit of exploration and independence that inspired generations of travellers across the USA and the world.
All three Liberty Edition motorcycles feature exclusive paint, decals and finishes, but retain the same mechanical specs and most of the same cycle parts as the models they’re based on. In the case of this year’s offerings, it means Milwaukee Eight 117 engines and six-speed Cruise Drive transmissions across the board. On the Heritage Classic, the 117ci (1,923cc) v-twin produces 68kW and 156Nm, which increases to 80kW and 175Nm on the Street Glide, while the Street Glide 3 Limited peaks at 78kW and 170Nm.

Other common features are 49mm forks, adjustable rear suspension, four-piston front disc brakes (dual discs on the Street Glides), LED lighting, a USB-C port and safety tech that includes ABS, Traction Control and Drag Torque Slip Control. The Street Glides add Cornering Enhanced versions of this tech, plus Linked Braking and Tyre Pressure Monitoring. Digital instrumentation, navigation and sound systems are similar across the two Street Glides, while the Heritage Classic runs analogue instrumentation (with no GPS or stereo), to suit its retro vibe.

Liberty History
It should be noted that these 2026 models aren’t the first ‘Liberty Edition’ motorcycles to be offered by Harley-Davidson. Back in 1976, Liberty Edition versions of the FLH Electra Glide, FXE Super Glide and XL Sportster were released to mark the American bicentenary, all with metalflake black paint, eagle graphics, and bold tank decals that bordered on psychedelic.
In 1986, the Liberty Edition returned, this time on the FLH Electra Glide, XLH Sportster and FXRS Low Rider. Another cosmetic package, the second Low Rider release featured two-tone paint and graphics inspired by the Statue of Liberty.

Dark Fire
The 2026 Harley-Davidson Enthusiast Collection Liberty Edition is defined by ‘Midnight Ember’ paint. Exclusive to the Liberty Edition, this metallic black finish is applied to the fuel tank, fairing, mudguards and panniers (when fitted). A heavy metalflake in this rich, deep paint adds sparkle that complements the heavily chromed engine treatment. Unlike some other Harley-Davidson Grand American Touring and Cruiser models, the Liberty Editon is not available with a blackout engine treatment, although the 2-into-1 exhaust on the Heritage Classic Liberty Edition is finished in matte black.

Cast wheels on the Street Glide and Street Glide 3 Limited feature black and machined sections, while the Heritage Classic has the special ‘Combo Cast’ wheels that combine black rims with bright metal wire spokes. The Heritage Classic also features gloss black hubs and fork legs.
A blue-tinted section of the windscreen on the Heritage Classic adds a colour contrast in the style of the Icons Collection Hydra-Glide Revival from 2024 and Electra Glide Highway King pairing of 2023. On the Street Glide bagger, the bobbed screen is all blue, while the Street Glide 3 Limited trike has an all-clear screen.

Eagles Up
For what is a celebration of America, the Liberty Edition doesn’t wave the flag too vigorously. Instead of the star-spangled overkill you might expect, the boldest element is a large, but subtle eagle on the fuel tank of all three models. This graphic is repeated on the Batwing fairings of the Street Glide and Street Glide 3 Limited, where subtle ‘1776-USA-2026’ identification is also added.
Raised #1 Harley-Davidson badging features on the tank, with a “see-through” element and subtle red and blue outlines. A red-white-blue ring features on the air filter cover of all three models, with the Street Glide and Street Glide 3 Limited adding a subtle graphic with ‘1776-USA-2026’ to the panniers and rear bodywork, respectively.
Seats on all three models incorporate an embroidered Bar & Shield logo, blue contrast stitching and a stitched red-white-blue tri-stripe that extends to the pillion backrest on the Street Glide 3 Limited.
The leather console strap on the Heritage Classic’s fuel tank also features blue stitching, while the two Street Glides add Liberty Edition identification to their tank consoles.

2,500 for 250
Production of the Enthusiast Collection Liberty Edition will be limited to a combined 2,500 units for global release. This is a little more than the Tobacco Fade and Fast Johnnie collections, which were capped at 2,000 units each. The split across the three models is unrevealed, but presumably, the trike will be built in the fewest numbers, with approximately even numbers of the Heritage Classic and Street Glide.
Obviously, given the theme of this year’s Enthusiast Collection, the bulk of Liberty Editions produced will go to US Harley dealers, but a small percentage will be released internationally, including to Australia. How many have been allocated for Australia is unknown, as is the pricing.

The base Heritage Classic is available from $39,995, with the Street Glide starting at $45,995 and the Street Glide 3 Limited at $63,995. Premiums for the Liberty Edition will likely add a few thousand to this pricing.
With demand for the Enthusiast Collection Liberty Edition expected to be high, customers should contact their Harley-Davidson dealer ASAP to confirm availability and pricing.
