FEATURE – 2026 Harley-Davidson CVO range

For 2026, Harley-Davidson Australia and New Zealand have expanded their CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) range. Based on models in the Grand American Touring and Trike families, each CVO for 2026 offers the biggest factory engine available, along with upgraded features, special detailing and exclusive paint options. These premium models are also produced in limited numbers.

Last year, fans of the CVO Models in Australia and New Zealand only had three models to choose from. For 2026, there are five, including the return of a CVO trike that was last offered locally in 2022. That newcomer is the CVO Street Glide 3 Limited.
Reflecting the introduction of the Street Glide Limited for 2026, there’s a CVO version of that model, with the rest of the 2026 lineup drawn from the Grand American Touring range, covering Road Glide ST, Street Glide and Street Glide ST.

121 is #1
As in past years, all CVO offerings are powered by Harley-Davidson’s largest factory engine that’s usually exclusive to these premium models. Carrying over from the 2025 CVO range, the engine for 2026 is the Milwaukee-Eight 121. Depending on the model, this 1,977cc v-twin is available in ‘VVT’ or ‘High Output’ form. The difference between the two is notable, with the VVT version producing 86kW and 183Nm (115hp and 135lb/ft), while the High Output engine peaks at 94kW and 193Nm (126hp and 142ft/lb), thanks to the Heavy Breather intake and tuning of the fixed cams. Where the VVT (Variable Valve Timing) misses out on overall power, it gains with improved fuel economy, reduced emissions and a broad powerband.
Regardless of engine type, a six-speed Cruise Drive transmission is standard, with belt final drive.

Ride Enhanced
To suit the performance engine, CVO models gain performance-tuned suspension, too. While componentry and range of travel varies from model to model, each set-up is designed to enhance the ride, whether that’s on long highway miles, or pushing lean angle to the limit through sweeping corners.
Using the 2026 CVO Street Glide as an example, 47mm Showa inverted forks are matched to premium dual rear shocks for what Harley call the most advanced suspension system ever fitted to their factory baggers. Travel from this set-up is 117mm at the front and 76mm at the rear.
Braking is upgraded, too, with radially-mounted Brembo calipers on ventilated dual front discs.

Finally, the Rockford Fosgate sound system that’s standard on the Grand American Touring range is upgraded to ‘Stage II’ spec for the CVOs. Again using the MY26 CVO Street Glide as an example, this 125W sound system combines two 165mm speakers in the fairing with a pair of 178mm speakers in the panniers. On the CVO Street Glide 3 Limited, there are six speakers across the fairing, fairing lowers and pillion seat/Tour-Pak.
The full safety suite (ABS, Electronic Linked Braking, Traction Control, etc.) is standard and cornering enhanced, while available rider modes include ‘Track’ and ‘Track +’ for the Road Glide ST, and up to three ‘Custom’ modes on some other models. Along with allowing specific levels of power delivery, braking and traction control to be instantly accessed to suit specific road conditions, Custom modes also make setting up for solo and pillion riding a breeze.

Style Plus
Along with the largest engines, premium componentry and features that are optional or unavailable for other models, the CVO range is defined by its paint finishes. Combining fades, pinstriping and other artisanal, hand-applied touches, CVO paint is always something special. Essentially, these make the CVOs custom motorcycles – from the factory.
Harley describes the 2026 CVO colour range as more expressive and more striking than ever before. It’s certainly hard to disagree with that. Compared to 2025, paint options on the MY26 CVOs are all bolder, with perhaps only last year’s ‘Hot Lap’ option for the Road Glide ST emulating the current range for visual impact.
Whether it’s rich metalflake, colour-shift paints, fadeaways or ghosted details, these finishes are enhanced with engine detailing, seat stitching and windscreen tints, so all components combine to make one big impact.

The new colour treatments for 2026 are as follows:
- Citrus Heat (tri-tone). Combining High Impact Orange pearl with Raven Black and Magnetic Grey metallic, this finish is enhanced with drop shadow airbrushing, pinstripes and high contrast engine detailing. The exhaust gets a glossy Black Onyx treatment, while orange seat stitching and badge trim complete the package.
Available on MY26 CVO Street Glide Limited and CVO Street Glide 3 Limited. - Citrus Heat Re-entry (two-tone). Inspired by Harley’s factory racers that won last year’s King of the Baggers championship, this option features Blood Orange, overlaid with pearl, that fades into rich, deep black. Subtle chequered flag stripes are incorporated into the fuel tank, side covers and panniers, with a similarly subtle Screamin’ Eagle logo added to the headlight fairing. Silver and orange pinstripes feature on the tinware, with orange contrast stitching on the seat.
Available on MY26 CVO Road Glide ST. - Inferno Grey. While appearing as a solid bluish grey, this paint includes a colour-shift metalflake that’s revealed as red when bodywork catches the light. This is complemented with red engine accents, red seat stitching and a red tinted windscreen. Depending on the model, Inferno Grey adds an oversized but subtle eagle graphic or Bar & Shield logo across the fuel tank and headlight fairing.
Available on MY26 CVO Street Glide ST and CVO Road Glide ST.

- Torched Orange (tri-tone). Arguably the boldest and most complex CVO paint treatment for 2026, this “fire inspired” option combines a light, yellow orange with Magnetic Grey. The two main colours are separated by Raven Black sections in a complex pattern that includes cuts, spears, scallops and airbrushed drop shadows. Darker orange pinstripes are complemented with similarly coloured engine accents and seat stitching. The bobbed windscreen is tinted to match the Torched Orange metallic paint, while the main engine finish and other trim is exclusively chrome and bright metal.
- Available on MY26 CVO Street Glide.
- Electric Coast. A searingly bright metallic blue, this is available as either a single-tone or two-tone, depending on model. The former adds red and black decals, a subtle eagle graphic or Bar & Shield logo across the fairing and fuel tanks, plus a red windscreen, red engine accents and seat stitching. The latter introduces a Magnetic Grey lower section, with a hand-painted fade, and silver and blue pinstripes, complemented with blue engine detailing and seat trim.
Available on MY26 CVO Street Glide ST and CVO Road Glide ST (single tone), MY26 CVO Street Glide Limited and CVO Street Glide 3 Limited (two-tone).

Pricing and Availability
As with each year’s CVO release, availability of the 2026 range will be limited, especially for the ANZ market. Pricing for the ST variants is unchanged from last year, but the Street Glide jumps up $7,000.
Being new for 2026, the CVO Street Glide Limited and CVO Street Glide 3 Limited have no comparison amongst last year’s range, but that CVO exclusivity means a significant premium over the list pricing of their non-CVO MY26 equivalents - almost $19,000 for the Street Glide Limited, and $26,500 for the Street Glide 3 Limited.
