JUST BIKES caught up with the EMC crew at last year's Brisbane Bike Expo, and came away impressed with the innovations and level of finish of the EMC bikes on display. We especially liked the funky 90S with its black-on-black finish and single-sided rear swingarm. By the way, the solid rear wheel on that model actually contains the electric motor - all that's under the seat are the batteries!

EMC's silicon battery system is unique in the field, too, as well as being a 'greener' alternative to traditional lead acid batteries.

The 90S, along with a more powerful variant, the 110S, are set for Australian sale later this year, having recently gained DOTARS approval.

Later this year, a 190S model is expected, which promises more power and genuine 100kmh+ performance.

The upcoming ADR-approved 'S' models will come under 50cc scooter regulations in WA, QLD, NT and SA, which means buyers in those States can ride an EMC on a full car licence, but the units are speed limited to 50 kmh.
