The wraps were pulled off the machine by Loris Capirossi and the recently-wed Casey Stoner (Casey and partner Adriana Tuchnya were married in Adelaide in January).

The launch took place at "Wroom 2007", the traditional ski meeting held by Ducati for dealers & media on the slopes of Madonna di Campiglio.
The Desmosedici GP7 is characterised by a new and exclusive colour scheme called "Red Racing Chrome", produced with a special paint. Hard to appreciate in a black and white magazine, granted, but trust us - it does look good!

The 800cc engine, which is also a load-bearing item holding the sub-chassis, is smaller and narrower than the 990 unit.
The 2007 Desmosedici GP7 had its first real hitout with the team riders at Sepang, while test rider, Jose Luis Cardoso, continued development work at the Jerez circuit in Spain.
