CDR share the knowledge
The informative night held in Whitehouse's workshop and showroom gave customers an inside look at the running, maintenance and logistical work that goes into a national motocross team.
Benn, a man with over 30 years experience both nationally and internationally, along with team technician, Hodgetts, ran enthusiasts through everything from how to build a race bike, to developing motor and suspension performance and the maintenance schedule required to keep bikes in championship winning form. The demo bike used was no less than Jay Marmont's championship-leading Yamaha YZ450FZ.
Dack, who explained his role as owner and manager of the team and the internal workings of CDR Rockstar Energy Drink Yamaha, came away from the night impressed with the roll up and personal experience with Yamaha customers.
"The night went sensationally well. Many people don't really understand how a race team functions and its purpose within the company. Part of our role is to provide information to Yamaha and its dealers on the YZ450F and any helpful hints for the customer to get the best from their Yamaha purchase," Dack explained.
Yamaha's race teams will continue to provide information nights like this to their dealers and customers in the future. Stay tuned to the Yamaha website for upcoming nights. www.yamaha-motor.com.au
