What made the win even sweeter was the fact the keys to the new ride were presented to Catherine by none other than Mick Doohan. In addition to the Honda, Catherine also won 12 months 'MaxiRider' Swann motorcycle insurance and $3,000 worth of protective riding gear from TAC.

The 'Riders Unite' promotion, organised by the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, attracted a huge number of entries. The number of female winners of the supplementary prizes for this year's special promotion shows that MotoGP is as much a hit with the ladies as it is with the blokes.

An avid MotoGP fan, Catherine has been heading to the Island for a number of years with her husband and a group of friends. When Catherine is not cheering her favourite MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi from turn 12, she follows the sport around the world regularly attending the Malaysian MotoGP!
