Bookings now open for 2014 Daryl Beattie Adventure tours

The first Beattie tour, a six day ride crossing the spectacular Simpson Desert, kicks off on March 27, with other tours scheduled for 2014 including a Western Australian desert to coast ride, Cape York adventure, and outback trek shadowing the Finke Desert Race.

Daryl says the Rides are ideal for competent riders looking for some adventure. Each trip through the Australian outback includes catered meals, comfortable swags and hot showers. A fully equipped, go-anywhere Unimog will be at every stopover with personal luggage, kitchen facilities, bedding, fuel and spares.

A serious dirt-bike rider before and after his GP career, Daryl Beattie has hand-picked every route and will personally lead each adventure. For Beattie, the decision to start Daryl Beattie Adventures was simple; "I have spent many years in the outback.
This is a personal passion and something I want to share with others."

If you don't have your own bike, Honda CRF 450Xs will be available for those without their own adventure machine. The CRF450X features a powerful 449cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke Unicam engine designed to produce power across a wide rpm band for off-road riding. The wide-ratio five-speed transmission, suspension and chassis ensure this model has everything challenging off-road riding needs.

Beattie has fitted each of his brand new CRF450Xs with special 21-litre endurance fuel tanks, Michelin all-terrain tyres and other mods.
