BMW Off-Road training courses coming to Vic and NSW this October
The NSW courses will be held at Dargle Valley near Wisemans Ferry, while the Victorian training courses will be held at the Werribee 4x4 proving ground. Both venues are ideal for creating the full range of conditions GS riders may encounter on their off-road adventures.
BMW Motorcycle Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Tony Sesto, said the BMW Motorrad Off-Road Training Courseare a great way for BMW GS riders to improve their skills and get the most from their motorcycles.

The motorcycles are unstoppable after doing the course, the riders will be the same".
BMW GS "Adventure bike" course
Learn all the skills required to get the most out of your BMW GS machine. During the two-day course, participants are taught the fundamental techniques of off-road riding and will progress to a level they never before thought achievable. These basic techniques are the core elements of novice through to advanced riding.
Some of the skills covered are:
- How to lift, balance and manoeuvre a motorcycle in awkward situations
- Slow-speed manoeuvring and control
- Correct body position/balance
- Throttle and clutch control
- Cornering
- Braking
- Ascending and descending hills safely and confidently
- Riding over/around obstacles
BMW Motorrad Off-Road Skills Training Courses have been specifically designed for riders of all levels. No matter whether you have had very little (or even none) off-road experience or have been dirt riding for years, participants are expected to learn a lot of new tricks and have a great time as well. All courses are conducted by BMW Motorrad's Authorised Training Partner, Stay Upright Pty. Ltd.

NSW - Sydney, Dargle Valley, (Lower Portland on the Hawkesbury River between Windsor and Wisemans Ferry)
Victoria - Werribee 4x4 proving ground (45mins south west of Melbourne)
Course Dates:
Dargle Valley -14 & 15th, 16 & 17th October 2011
Werribee - 28 & 29th, 30 & 31st October 2011
Course Costs:
$685. Participants must supply their own GS motorcycle.
