BMW Off Road Training Courses are back
BMW Motorrad Off-Road Training Courses have been specifically designed for BMW GS riders of all levels. From those who are new to off-road riding as well as experienced riders; there are always new skills to learn or brush up on.
All courses are conducted by BMW Motorrad's Authorised Training Partner, Stay Upright Pty Ltd, who are well known as one of Australia's best motorcycle training providers.
Venues
WA - Kirup (about 40 mins ride from Bunbury on the South West Hwy)
NSW - Sydney, Dargle Valley (Lower Portland on the Hawkesbury River between Windsor and Wisemans Ferry) QLD - Green Park, Conondale (near Maroocydore on Sunshine Coast)
VIC - Broadford Motorcycle Complex (1hr North of Melbourne)
Course Dates
WA - Kirup, 5/6 October & 7/8 October
NSW - Sydney, Dargle Valley, 19/20 October & 21/22 October
QLD - Conondale, Green Park, 16/17 November & 18/19
VIC - Broadford, 23/24 November & 25/26 November
Participants will learn all the skills required to get the most out of their BMW GS riding. They will have a new level of confidence when their adventure heads off road.
During the two-day course, participants are taught the fundamental techniques of off-road riding and will progress to a level they never before thought achievable. These basic techniques are the core elements of novice through to advanced riding.
Some of the skills covered are:
- How to lift, balance and manoeuvre a motorcycle in awkward situations
- Slow-speed manoeuvring and control
- Correct body position/balance
- Throttle and clutch control
- Cornering
- Braking
- Ascending and descending hills safely and confidently
- Riding over/around obstacles.

Course Costs
$685 on your own bike, or $985 with BMW G 650 Sertao (limited availability, not available in WA)
Morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch is included in the entry fee.
