BMW K 1600 GT AND GTL PRICING

BMW is aiming to shake up the touring and luxury-touring motorcycle markets with a pair of high-torque twins due in Australia within weeks.

The all new BMW K 1600 GT and K 1600 GTL models will see BMW offering 6-cylinder in-line power units for the first time.

The new 6-cylinder 1600cc engine produces 118 kW and 175 Nm of torque; this therefore offers a high level of pulling power, especially in the lower and medium engine speed range.

Acceleration to 100 km/h is of the order of 3.2 seconds (without pannier), making the K 1600 a remarkably brisk machine. The two bikes will arrive in dealership in May with a RRP of $34,990 for the K 1600 GT and $36,990 for the GTL, plus ORCs.
