Bike of the month. March 2009
This is the type of chopper that Prozac Choppers specialises in.
From small beginnings, Prozac began modifying Harley-Davidson's and just kept adding bigger rear ends, bigger engines, exhausts, etc.
The team at Prozac are all dedicated chopper fans and included in-house designers, engineers, fabricators and machinery that allow Prozac to create custom bikes and accessories to any specification and design, all to a set budget. Prozac are happy to customise your existing Harley or will build a complete one off personalised custom bike from the ground up.
Not surprisingly, Prozac have an enviable reputation for quality of build, design and personalisation. The bike on offer this month is very special. It is a custom chopper that was built for Independent Cranes as a promotional work, as well as a special ride for its owner. It is fully registered and compliant to Australian standards and has a long list of custom features.
These include:
Frame - 300 rear softail frame stretched and raked with a single curved down tube;
Rear suspension - Air ride system which goes up and down at the push of a button;
Wheels - 23-inch front with an 18 x 10.5" rear chromed 3D design;
Front brake - Hub style disc brake;
Rear brake - PM 4 piston caliper, which the sprocket is also the disc, front and rear brakes are on the same side as the drive;
All tin work including the tank was manufactured by Prozac. The engine is a fully polished 127ci unit by El Bruto 134 rear wheel hp. The transmission is a trick shift 6-speed, which is fully polished. The primary belt is a BDL top fuller.
All billetry including air filter, coil cover, front fender mounts, engine rocker covers, wheel spacers, front fender emblem, engraving, rear wheel sprocket and caliper brackets, etc. were manufactured in-house by Prozac. Similarly all the steel work, including the frame and swing arm, fenders, tank, 2-1 exhaust system, handlebars, and oil tank were manufactured in-house by Prozac.
Special features include the speedo, tacho, front indicators and warning lights all built into the mirrors and can be viewed when the ignition is switched on. The front brake master cylinder, hydraulic clutch master, throttle cables and clutch lines are all inbuilt and hidden internally in the bars. This is an exceptional chopper.
