Baroni New Scooters. May 2008
After extensive research, BARONI have come up with the products they believe are truly suited to the Australian market. Manufactured to the highest ISO 9001 international standards and with ADR compliance, "Baroni" Motor Scooters can be registered in all Australian states and New Zealand.
Their 50cc model has all the style and charisma together with efficiency but still remains very affordable. A true commuter, the Baroni 50cc is light, agile and economic but doesn't achieve this at the expense of style. A long wheel base of 1200 mm with light dry weight of only 78kg makes the 50cc very easy to manoeuvre in traffic and tight conditions. Allowing for its tare weight, it can still carry 100kgs in style. Fuel capacity is 4.4 litres and will certainly not dent your pay packet, even taking into account the price of fuel. The factory recommends unleaded fuel which also helps with the budget.
Step up to the 125cc and you have the perfect medium scooter, still light and agile but with improved performance. Due to these characteristics, Baroni has selected this model to represent the brand in motor scooter racing, sat to take place at Queensland's Willowbank Raceway. Chequered flags and champagne aside, Baroni believe this involvement in motor racing will develop a safer and more responsive scooter even better suited to Australian conditions. Preliminary testing has achieved improved performance and precise handling, so much so, that competitors have reportedly been amazed.
The 125cc is slightly longer at 1300 mm and is 70 mm wider than the 50cc. The maximum power is creditable at 6.0 kw/7500 rpm. Due to the increased power, the 125cc can accommodate the larger and wider wheels with a tyre size of 120/70-12, which contribute to offering more assured handling. Styling is on a par with the 50cc, with neat styling touches like the carbon-fibre look to the dash surround, although the headlight is moved down into the body of the 125cc.
City traffic is a dream on this scooter, with ample acceleration from the traffic lights.
Not to be outdone is the flagship of the fleet - the 150cc. This majestic performer has it all, style, comfort and power, set on wide 13 inch alloy wheels with race style tyres. The dual head lights, twin rear shocks and tri colour paint work set this scooter apart from the rest. The 150cc engine is the biggest in the Baroni range, set on a 1380mm wheelbase. Max load is also increased to 165 kg.
All the Baroni range have lockable fuel cap, steering lock and safety switch on the side stand as standard features. Baroni Motor Scooters 20,000 km or 24 months full parts & labour warranty is pretty impressive for this segment and confirms their commitment to excellence.
