the Australian Superbike class in particular host to one of the best races of the weekend, but the undoubted star of the round was Jamie Stauffer who won all races for both Australian Superbike and Supersport on board the Yamaha Racing Team YZF R1 and R6, a magnificent result after being away from the blue bikes for three years.

Team Suzuki's Shawn Giles and the Joe Rocket Honda squad of Adam Fergusson and Glenn Allerton made sure Stauffer didn't have any easy victories, dogfighting with the tenacious Yamaha pilot throughout.

Fergusson actually looked like taking out race 3 of Aus Superbikes before a crash, but 'Krusty' remounted to finish a respectable 8th, salvaging third overall for the weekend.

Yamaha were also inadvertently handed a gift in the Supersport class in the form of a 30 second time penalty for non-homologated tyres applied to the Joe Rocket Honda, Jardine Honda and Kawasaki Racing Teams on the Saturday of the race weekend.
"To win straight off the bat on the new R6 is a credit to the bike and the team", Stauffer said of his Supersport success.
