Aussie wins Harley-Davidson ‘APAC Technician of the Year’ award
Harley-Davidson Australia & New Zealand (H-D ANZ) has announced the winner of its 2025 APAC Technician of the Year award. The brand’s highest technical honour for the Asia-Pacific region, the award recognises the best Harley-Davidson service technician for their precision, performance and professionalism.

Now in its fourth year, the APAC Technician of the Year award tests knowledge, skill, retention and problem-solving. Preliminary rounds were held locally in AEM, ANZ, China and Japan, with the regional final held at H-D ANZ Headquarters in Sydney - the first time the international arm of this competition has been held in Australia.
The top four scorers from each region represented their market in an in-person showdown in Sydney to determine the top APAC technician, who will go on to compete for the International Technician of the Year Title.
In this third round (of four), technicians competed in a live skills challenge, with each task closely observed by experts at H‑D ANZ HQ. Following these tests, Paul Beebe, from Harley Heaven Sydney, was judged the top APAC technician based on his performance, expertise, and professionalism.

“Winning Technician of the Year means a lot to me,” Beebe said. “I’ve put in a lot of hard work and gone through a lot of training, so it's nice to know I’ve risen to the top!”
As the APAC Technician of the Year winner, Beebe took home a bundle of H-D goodies, but more importantly, he also gets a shot to compete for the Top International Tech, which comes with a trip to Harley-Davidson's Homecoming celebration in Milwaukee in July, 2026.
Speaking about the competition, Managing Director of H-D ANZ Nigel Keough said: “It was a honour hosting our top technicians from across the APAC region here in Sydney. We have the very best technicians across the industry, and this competition showcases their expertise and craftsmanship.
“Congratulations to all our finalists from Japan, Korea, China and Australia and in particular to our winner.”
