Arai RX7 Corsair. September 2007
Structural net composition with triple density inner shell and ring-shaped strengthening in the lower section means the RX7 easily meets Snell 2000 safety approval. The slimline, oval outer shell has been designed with a lower centre of gravity for greater comfort.
The visor is aerodynamically recessed to help reduce wind noise, while the J-type side pods have a lower profile for a cleaner, more aerodynamic look and function. The visor itself is removable using a lever release system. Arai's Free Flow System (FFS) interior also reduces draft and wind noise. The 'delta duct' air inlet on the RX7 Corsair sits higher than the top ventilation on other lids, but the vents not only work effectively, but also reduce noise levels.
The RX7 also features an enlarged chin vent and Arai's patented 'visor brow' ventilation ducts.
Inside, the RX7 Corsair uses a hydrophilic dry cool interior that's fully removable and washable. To ensure the best possible fit, six different cheek pad sizes are available. A removable comfort skullcap is also fitted.
Available in sizes S - XL, the Colin Edwards and Kenny Roberts replica Arai RX7 Corsair costs $1,199.95 RRP from most good bike stores.
