Allerton's Phillip Island exposure
There are no ASBK Championship points up for grabs this weekend, and Glenn will be going all-out in the support class Australian Superbike event.
Allerton will be riding in the four race format over the weekend. The Superbikes will be racing over eight laps on Friday and two eight-lap races on Saturday, with the final event before the huge crowd on Sunday, prior to the MotoGP action.
Procon Maxima BMW Team Principal Wayne Hepburn is excited about the weekend.
"Glenn and the Procon Maxima BMW Team are looking forward to getting back to Phillip Island. We did a test session down there last week and Glenn was right on the speed with the BMW S 1000 RR performing perfectly, as it has all season. There are no Championship points on the line but Glenn will be using the weekend as a perfect warm-up for the next ASBK Round at Symmons Plains, where Glenn aims to grab the Championship.
"Also in the Procon Maxima BMW Team is Chris Trounson, who will be making his Phillip Island debut aboard the BMW S 1000 RR," said Wayne.
