2014 Aus Superbike Championship calendar announced

Motorcycling Australia and championship organisers, IEG Events, say they've worked closely with V8 Supercars and prominent state venues to ensure the 2014 championship will show off the domestic two wheel talent to the largest possible audience.

The tie-in with V8 Supercars, Australia's third most-watched sport, helps IEG achieve this, with three rounds of this year's calendar to be of the '2 + 4' format'.

Five rounds already have locations locked in, with Phillip Island to host two rounds, and Darwin's Hidden Valley to host the Superbikes in conjunction with the V8 Supercars.

Round five of this year's championship remains subject to confirmation, with Sydney Motorsport Park and Symmons Plains a possibility to host this round, as both circuits featured on the 2013 ASBK calendar.
