A record 45 scooters and 180 riders will line up for the 11:00AM start. When the green flag drops the teams will race for 24 hours until the chequered flag drops at 11:00AM Saturday.
Spectators are more than welcome, with entry by gold coin donation at the gate. There is a jumping castle for the kids and all the guest riders will be happy to sign autographs.
Troy Bayliss, who recently announced 'Moto Expo' (Motorcycle Exhibition), 21-23 March 2014 Brisbane RNA Showgrounds, said "The Scooterthon is a fun little event, it raises funds for Racesafe Medical Team who provide a great service at motorcycle race events.
"I think I will be doing the first few hours on Friday, before handing over to Crumpy and the other boys on my team. In total, we will do about 6 hours each on the scooter within the 24 hours," Bayliss added.
Troy Bayliss will team up with Jason Crump and Custom Graphix guru, Mark "Brownie" Brown.
