2013 Kawasaki KX range revealed
Major upgrades to the KX250F include a new slimmer rider interface and flatter tank-seat line, revised ECU settings and three different, interchangeable EFI couplers with pre-set maps for varying riding/terrain conditions. A wider and straighter intake path produces even higher RPM, with easier engine tuning capabilities and the same internal engine construction as used by the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki factory race bikes. Revised SFF (Separate Function front Fork) is another new feature on the 2013-spec KX250F.
Appearance-wise, the KX250F features new minimalist shrouds and new factory racer-inspired black rear guard.
The Kawasaki KX450F has already proven itself a championship winner in AMA SX (2011, 2012) and MX (2011) competition in the US. For 2013, the new KX450F features a more powerful engine, thanks to a revised piston crown and ECU settings, next generation PSF (Pneumatic Spring Fork), new front brake master cylinder and brake pads for stronger braking performance, plus revised engine and ECU tuning for stronger ultra low-mid range performance.
Comfort and aesthetic changes on the KX450F include wider hand grips and a new front guard design and new white rear guard.
For 2013 the Kawasaki KX85/II and the KX65 receive new white rear fenders, new graphics and new silver engine covers.
Kawasaki anticipates that the new range of 2013 KX models will be released in June/July 2012. Prices are TBC. Further details and full specs available at www.kawasaki.com.au
