2008 CBR 1000RR Fireblade
The latest release is a big departure from previous models - in the best possible way - with unique looks, stronger performance and astoundingly responsive control. Honda believes the new Fireblade stakes out a higher standard in motorcycle performance and design aesthetics, much as the original CBR900RR did sixteen years ago.
Advanced features include its mass centralised fuel tank, Unit-Pro-Link rear suspension, radial mount front disc brakes and Electronic Steering Damper. The 2008 Fireblade features performance enhancing developments such as a new underslung exhaust system and "Honda Assist Slipper Clutch" designed to allow for aggressive downshifts to be 'smoothed-out' while simultaneously lightening the clutch action, all of which translates into smoother and quicker cornering control.
The 2008 1000RR is also slimmer and more compact than its predecessor. The aerodynamic design extends to the new ram air intake, with new intake ports moulded into the front cowl. Further contributing to the fairing's more compact form is the elimination of the front indicators, which are now integrated into the upper portion of the CBR's rear-view mirrors. The 2008 CBR1000RR Fireblade will be available from authorised Dealers in the first half of next year.
