2007 Yamaha TT-R 230

The versatile 230cc-engined dirt bike is designed for riders of different sizes and abilities, and is ideal whether pottering around and learning the ropes, or exploring the bush. This versatility comes thanks largely to a compact wheelbase and low seat height that offer superb manoeuvrability and super-responsive handling. The TT-R 230A also features YZ styling with flat seat/tank junction for great rider mobility. A YZ-style diamond-type frame provides great handling and strength. A strong, air-cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke engine with electric start pumps out predictable power aimed at easing both beginning and intermediate riders into the off-road experience. The reliable electric starter ensures hassle-free, push-button starting. The TT-R 230 is equipped with a smooth shifting, 6-speed transmission with heavy-duty manual clutch that taps into the engine's broad powerband for instant hook-up in a wide range of conditions.

Convenience features include an ultra-reliable CD ignition system, automatic cam chain tensioner and YZ-type air-filter. The YZ influence extends to the Team Yamaha-inspired colours and graphics. A new linkage-mounted rear shock serves up 221mm of smooth, progressive rear wheel travel and the new 36mm front fork with 239mm of travel provides plush, confidence-inspiring control over rough terrain. The front brake comes with a braided steel hose for improved stopping ability. ADR equipment includes a speedo, indicators, blinkers, lights & brake light switches. All ADR components are easily removable to turn the TT-R 230A back into a stripped-down dirt bike if desired.
