Here is an opportunity to own a classic 1987 Honda CBR1000F, once the fastest bike on the planet! Thrill to the monster power! Gasp at the acceleration! Be amazed by the comfort of this fine example of eighties sports touring. This bike had a refurbishment last December after a long period off the road. As well as a full service including valves and balancer chain adjustment it had a NEW camchain and NEW camchain tensioner, rebuilt brakes with brake master cylinder kit, new brake seals and a couple of pistons replaced, new braided brake lines and pads, new fork seals, new chain and sprockets, new tyres, new rear wheel bearings, new clutch master cylinder and a kit through the slave cylinder, carbs cleaned and synchronised, new fuel pump and filter, fuel tap rebuilt everything else has been inspected and lubed or replaced. The front fairing has been resprayed and overall the bodywork presents very well, there are a couple of chips and scratches and there is a ding in the left side of the tank. The seat copped a new cover. Only downside is the camchain rattles at idle for a couple of minutes when cold especially if it hasn't been used for a few days, but I'm told they all do that. It doesn't rattle when warm or at operating revs. The back tyre while having plenty of tread is just starting to square off a little. The screen despite being new has crazed in the sun. The odometer reads 13800, which I guess is 113800, it may have had the motor replaced at some stage as the frame and engine numbers don't match. Either way the motor is very strong and doesn't use any oil. The bike is currently on Club Rego which costs just $46 a year including the TPP greenslip. The bike is located in Moss Vale NSW and is only for sale because I need the space. The bike is super reliable and comfortable and I would have no qualms about jumping on it and riding to Brisbane tomorrow, in fact if it doesn't sell I might just do that!
