Seller's Description
This bike is truly a functioning Museum Piece. I know of one other military model U in a museum in Perth, less original than this one, as it has 1947 tanks and dash, one in a museum in London, and Dales Wheels through Time are very proud of their one. These bikes have appreciated in value astronomically over the years. While the rest of the Allies used the mass produced 750 CC WLA bikes in WWII, there were just over 400 of the stronger U model flatheads built with Harley left hand side cars in 1942 making these bikes very rare and sought after. This bike is very original and features the very rare tall round oil bath air cleaner, rare rear fender mounted military buddy seat, Cycle ray headlamp, Harley Davidson beehive tail lamp, Delco remy cut out, original horn and original spare wheel lock spinner. These items are very hard to find. The bike starts, shifts and stops as it should. In very good restored condition, as strong as a team of horses and ready to go off to war again!
