Harley Davidson 1938 EL Knucklehead. This 1938 EL prewar Knucklehead painted in export Olive Green is an extremely accurate but not overly-restored example with only a few hundred miles since completion. It has a matching case small port 61" motor, the original barrels have been resleeved back to standard bore, and it is fed through an M5 Linkert carb with the elusive 6" air cleaner. All machine work and assembly was handled by Redgrave and Pacific HD! Voltage is supplied by a brass tag 32E generator. The matching rebuilt 4 speed transmission is meshed to the motor with the earlier type 4 stud clutch inside correct primary tins. One year only swept back leg springer, OEM tinwear, seat tee, seamless oil tank, 3 stud chain guard, hockey puck brake switch and wire pull, stepped hubs, skull dash, original correctly rebuilt speedo, as well as the incredibly rare '37 saddle bags and 39 Deluxe Rhino Russet unvented seat pan saddle which were restored by Michael Parquette of NC, USA. The frame is an OEM frame repaired and restored by Steve Little at Race Frame Engineering. Also included are a set of beautiful manual-focus high stem guide spotlights which will be mounted when delivered to Manshed Auctions on 1 October. This is an investment grade addition to any American enthusiast collection of which examples rarely surface for sale to the general public.
