National Thunder Motorcycle Rally Tamworth 2022
After the 2020 and 2021 events were cancelled due to COVID-19, the inaugural National Thunder Motorcycle Rally is finally going ahead! Held at the Australian Equestrian and Livestock Event Centre (AELEC) over the October long weekend, the event has attracted close to 2,000 bike riders to head to Tamworth for the long weekend.
The community can expect a weekend full of bikes, music, food, exceptional entertainment and family, friendly fun. Anyone in the Tamworth region is invited to purchase a day ticket and come out to enjoy jam packed days of entertainment.
Kicking off on Friday 30 September, some of the featured events include:

Bikes sales and displays from a huge a range of brands, including Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Husqvarna, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Triumph & Yamaha
Day tickets are $50 per person and are available now for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, children under 18 can enter free with a paying adult.
The locals in Willow Tree, Quirindi, Walcha, Manilla, Barraba and Nundle can also expect to see the arrivals of bikes for morning tea and lunch throughout the weekend as organized rides are planned on Saturday and Sunday. Like all good motorbike rally’s, this one will finish with a run through the city, which is a fitting way to end a long weekend of music, food and fun. The National Thunder Run is a 134km loop with no stops departing from AELEC.
