YamaFest expands to welcome non-Yamaha riders
Yamaha Motor Australia has announced that their YamaFest event at Sydney Motorsport Park (SMP) is expanding. What was to be a Yamaha-only ride day is now open to road bikes from any brand. Run in conjunction with MotoSchool, YamaFest will allow ALL motorcycle track day enthusiasts the opportunity to ride SMP alongside like-minded circuit fans in a professionally run, inclusive and supportive R-Family environment.

To be held on 29 March, 2026, the inaugural YamaFest track day costs just $299/rider, which gets you sessions on track at SMP throughout the day. The event is open to all track bike and road bike models from any brand – new or old – and caters for all experience levels, too. So, if you’ve never done a track day before, this is a great opportunity to get circuit time in a relaxed, ride-at-your-own-pace environment.
Entrants should note that their motorcycle needs to meet some basic mechanical and safety requirements to be eligible.

Spectator entry to YamaFest is free, with the expansion of the rider entry criteria meaning that you’ll now see a greater variety of bikes. Beyond the track action, there’ll be displays of the full Yamaha R-Series lineup, plus guest stars and other attractions. A YZF-R9 ridden by Jack Miller ahead of last year’s Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix - and signed by him - will be won by a pre-registered entrant.
MotoSchool will also have their fleet of Yamaha YZF-R9 bikes available for hire on the day, but spots are strictly limited and filling fast.
