Wildwood Rock added to Hard Enduro World Ranking
The annual Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro has been added to the new Hard Enduro World Ranking (HEWR). Under the new system that’s been introduced this year, the Victorian extreme enduro event will see 500 HEWR points awarded to the winner.

HEWR was born from the frustrations of the world’s two major hard enduros – Red Bull Erzbergrodeo and Red Bull Romaniacs – with the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship following its restructure in 2025. Both events withdrew from the FIM championship, with HEWR operating independently of the FIM, too.
HEWR works in a similar way to ATP/WTA rankings. Just as grand slams count for more than smaller open and invitational events in tennis, the points a rider can accumulate in hard enduro under HEWR are determined by the event’s ranking. How an event is ranked includes factors like its size, nationality mix among entrants, spectator infrastructure, prize money, media coverage and event reach.

With events categorised as ‘Supreme,’ ‘Premier,’ ‘Masters’ or ‘Challenger’ based on these criteria, a high profile, international event like Red Bull Romaniacs has the top Supreme ranking. Wildwood Rock is in the Masters class, as it is classified as an “established regional elite event”.
Available points for event winners under this system range from 2,000 through 1,200, 500 and 250 across the four event classes. As a Masters event, Wildwood Rock will count for 500 points. Incentives for riders to win in HEWR include US$10,000 each for the top ten points scorers at the end of the season.

The 2026 Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro is scheduled for 7-8 November at Wildwood, which is located 31km north of the Melbourne CBD. The event is held on private property, using a mix of natural and man-made obstacles on a demanding course.
Wildwood Rock includes bronze, silver and gold classes, with prologue for the bronze class on the opening day, followed by prologue for the other classes and the main 3-hour enduro on the second day. In addition to HEWR points, prizemoney will be awarded to the winner, with prizemoney for top times in the prologues, too.
