VR46 Racing Team renew MotoGP deal with Ducati

Valentino Rossi’s Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team have announced a new agreement with Ducati Corse that will see them continue as a ‘Ducati Factory Supported Team’ in MotoGP for the next three years. Continuing a partnership that began in 2022, the new deal ensures VR46 riders will be on Ducati’s Desmosedici through to 2029 inclusive.

Since VR46 gained Factory Supported status in 2025 (after Pramac Racing switched to Yamaha), they have achieved four GP wins and 16 podium finishes at time of writing, most recently at the Catalan GP in May.

For MotoGP’s new technical era in 2027 that includes 850cc engines, reduced aero and fewer electronics, Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team will enter two Ducati Desmosedici GP bikes. Only one will be a full factory-spec Desmosedici GP27, with the other a non-factory bike. Both will be supported by Ducati technical staff within the team. VR46’s rider lineup for 2027 had not been revealed at time of writing, but will likely be Fermin Aldeguer and World Superbike star, Nicolo Bulega.
