The Superfile Trackhouse MotoGP Team have completed their rider lineup for 2027, with the experienced Enea Bastianini to join incumbent Raul Fernandez. The 28-year-old Italian has signed a two-year deal with the Aprilia satellite squad.
Known as ‘Bestia’ (The Beast), Bastianini made his start competing in the MiniGP 70cc Italian Championship and the Honda RS125 Trophy. Joining the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2013, Bastianini won two races. A Moto3 debut came in 2014, where the Italian scored podium finishes in his debut season, followed by his first win a year later.
Third in the 2015 Moto3 Word Championship, and second in 2016, Bastianini stepped up to Moto2 in 2019. The COVID-shortened 2020 Moto2 season saw Bastianini crowned world champion, after which he was signed to the Avintia Esponsorama Racing MotoGP team in 2021. A move to Gresini Racing in 2022 saw the Italian take his first MotoGP race win, finishing the season third overall.
That performance saw Bastianini signed to the Ducati Lenovo Team for 2023, but his first season in the factory team was compromised by injury. A solid 2024 season (two wins, seven other podiums) wasn’t enough for Bastianini to retain his seat, replaced by Marc Marquez and moving to Red Bull KTM Tech 3 for 2025.
On the KTM RC16, Bastianini’s best finish at time of writing has been a third place, achieved at the 2025 Catalan Grand Prix, although he’s regularly finished inside the top ten this year.
“I am extremely excited to join the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team for the next two MotoGP Championships,” said Bastianini.
“Starting from the [post season] test in Valencia this year, it is going to be a new challenge for me as we are entering a new era with a new bike, new tyres and new regulations. For this, I am happy to bring my experience and my fighting spirit to Trackhouse so that we can develop the new Aprilia RS-GP together.
“The team has grown a lot during 2026 and it has become a title contender – for sure I will do my best for us to stay on top.”
