Savic Motorcycles appoints new CEO
As it enters its tenth year in business, Savic Motorcycles has announced the appointment of Marc Alexander to the role of CEO, which follows the Australian electric motorcycle manufacturer securing $2M in investment funding in 2025. Company founder Dennis Savic will remain involved at a strategic level and on Savic’s Board of Directors.

Alexander brings 25 years of experience in EV systems, autonomous platforms, IoT, consumer & automotive technology, and successful global scale-ups. Having already implemented numerous improvements in recent months, Alexander joins at a pivotal time for Savic, as the company prepares for international growth and the upscaling of its development and manufacturing capability.

“I’ve long admired Dennis’s tenacity and drive to bring his vision to life,” Alexander said. “To now be entrusted to take these foundations and build them into the global brand it will become, is an exceptional opportunity that doesn’t come around often.
“With the deep expertise we have within the business, I’m excited to help motorcyclists worldwide discover and embrace the C-Series, and to help place Australia as a leading nation in this EV technology and rapidly growing industry.”

Of Alexander’s appointment, Dennis Savic said: “With new capital, new infrastructure, and global demand growing, this is the right moment for an experienced leader like Marc to take the reins and guide Savic through its next chapter.
“Uniquely, Marc has already proven his ability to do this from Australia and now, with the right investment in place, we wanted to ensure that he could begin his work as soon as possible to drive forward the success we’ve already achieved.”

While Savic’s C-Series is proudly manufactured in Australia, powertrain sub-assembly is now being done in Taizhou, China. This Savic-owned facility takes advantage of the region’s improved supply chain efficiency and know-how in EV powertrain manufacturing, while also ensuring capacity can be ramped up to meet demand and expansion into global markets.
Priced from $29,990 ride away, the Savic C-Series is powered by a three-phase AC electric motor producing 60kW and 200Nm, with 200km range from its 16.2kWh battery.
