KTM, Husqvarna expand four-year warranty programs

KTM and Husqvarna have announced extensions to their Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty. The four-year warranty that had only applied to selected road, adventure and dual sport models from both brands previously now covers all road-legal models – from the 2025 model year and up.

For KTM buyers, that means all road-legal, registerable MY25 and newer models from their Adventure, Dual Sport, Naked, Supersport, Sports Tourer and Supermoto families are covered. For Husqvarna buyers, the four-year warranty now applies to all 2025 and newer examples of the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401, Svartpilen and Vitpilen 801, 701 Enduro, 701 Supermoto, Norden 901 and Norden 901 Expedition.

The four-year warranty offer does not extend to non-homologated or track-only machines, like KTM’s 990 RC R.

For both KTM and Husqvarna customers, this extended factory support program is tied to the bike, not the owner, meaning the warranty can be transferred when the bike is sold. Husqvarna adds that the new warranty applies to MY25+ models still in dealer showrooms, too.

For individuals who have already purchased bikes eligible for the four-year warranty, this will be added free of charge, but scheduled servicing is critical to the warranty being honoured.

All scheduled servicing must be carried out by an authorised KTM/Husqvarna dealer. Upon completion of this service, premium warranty cover remains active on the bike for another 12 months (or until the next scheduled service) for a maximum of four years.

For KTM, the new four-year program does not reduce the five-year warranty currently available for their 890 Adventure and 890 Adventure R models. As part of the ‘We Have Your Back’ program for Australia and New Zealand, the five-year warranty specific to these models is combined with an upgraded airbox and air filter to suit local conditions.

Additionally, Husqvarna’s ‘Explore with Confidence’ five-year warranty that’s specific to the Australian and New Zealand market remains unchanged. Applicable to the Norden 901 and Norden 901 Expedition, this five-year factory support comes with the same intake upgrades as KTM’s 890 Adventure models.
