GIVI GRT Canyon soft panniers – versatile, functional and virtually indestructible!
If the new year has given you a new yearning for adventure, you’ll want gear that’s practical and durable when you’re riding off the beaten track. The GRT Canyon soft panniers from GIVI provide that, along with a bunch of other clever features.

Part of the extensive GIVI luggage range, the GRT Canyon pannier set (model code GRT709B) is made for adventure motorcyclists, combining the light weight of a soft pannier, with the strength and capacity of solid panniers.
GRT Canyon soft panniers - key features
- Impact- and abrasion-resistant construction
- 35-litre capacity per pannier
- Roll-top buckle closure
- MOLLE panels to fasten additional luggage
- Locking system
- Carry handle for off-bike use
- Unifit system attaches to most pannier frame
Designed and manufactured specifically for off-road riders who don’t want to compromise on practicality, performance or security, GRT Canyon panniers are made from a mix of Cordura nylon and Hypalon, a synthetic rubber used in marine applications that’s resistant to chemicals, UV light and extreme temperature. That latter quality is particularly relevant for baking Aussie summers!
The abrasion-resistant and impact-resistant construction – rated at a very tough 1680D - is augmented with a Polyurethane coating and Ripstop nylon fabric that’s Thermo Polyurethane (TPU) coated for extra durability.

Each GRT Canyon pannier is made up of three parts – the main bag, removable inner bag and removable front flap. The main bag is of 35-litre capacity and can hold up to 7.5kg of gear.
Removable plastic shapers for each pannier keep the base and sides stiff when empty or carrying only a few items. A water-resistant roll-top closure system is fastened with buckles, and there’s an extra-lock system for security.

The removable inner bag allows everything to be easily taken out at the end of a day’s ride without having to detach the entire pannier. There’s a pocket inside each inner bag, too.
High-frequency heat-sealing on the inner bag allows it to remain waterproof, even in heavy rain, while the sand-coloured finish makes it easier to see items inside.

The front flap has a mesh-faced zippered pocket that allows quick access to maps, snacks and other small items. Buckle fasteners allow the front flap to be accessed without opening the main bag. This flap also protects the main bag in an impact.
To expand carrying capacity, the GRT Canyon also comes with MOLLE panels on each side. GIVI’s GRT730 (a 4.0-litre waterproof soft bag for drink bottles, tools, first aid kit, rainsuit, etc.) is the ideal match, but the MOLLE webbing system means just about anything can be fastened.

While the GRT Canyon is designed to attach to GIVI’s PL and PLR frames (and these are recommended), the GIVI Unifit fixing system means these panniers can be securely attached to just about any frame on the market.
Buckle fasteners are easy to open and close with gloves, each pannier has reflective sections for night time visibility, while the ergonomic handle for carrying off the bike is another practical touch.
GIVI GRT Canyon panniers are priced from $1,199.95 RRP/pair.
