After dealer presentations and public appearances earlier this year that included the All British Rally, the all-new BSA motorcycle range has officially launched in Australia. A media ride in NSW this August will be followed by dealer roll-outs in the coming months.
As previously reported by JUST BIKES, BSA is making its return to Australia after 60+ years thanks to Leisk Moto Imports, based in WA and run by respected industry veteran Jeff Leisk.

All models in the modern BSA range for Australia are LAMS-approved and honour the historic British brand’s aesthetic, particularly the Gold Star 650. The first model to be released by the new BSA back in 2022, the Gold Star 650 features chromed tank panels and heritage badging, wire spoke wheels, chrome mudguards and twin analogue gauges.
Power comes from a 652cc liquid-cooled single producing 33.6kW and 55Nm (45hp and 40.5ft/lb), with other features including a five-speed transmission, tele fork front and twin shock rear, disc brakes with Brembo calipers, and a 12-litre fuel tank.
The Scrambler 650 takes much of what’s on the Gold Star, including the same engine, transmission and frame, but adds Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres with a chunkier off-road tread pattern, higher mudguards and a taller stance that lifts seat height from 782mm to 820mm. This model is also heavier than the Gold Star, with a different tank treatment and other aesthetic changes.
The final model in the Australian launch range is the Bantam 350. Reviving the best-known name in BSA history, the new Bantam features include a 334cc liquid-cooled single producing 21.3kW and 29.6Nm (29hp and 21.5ft/lb), a six-speed gearbox, disc brakes with ByBre calipers, alloy wheels, a 13-litre fuel tank and 800mm seat height.
