Rare bike. Part of a limited run of 1000 bikes out of the Ducati factory produced for one year only - 1978. Bike was modelled on an 860 GTS but made more powerful and included cosmetic and electrical improvements such as better forks and shocks, less angular fuel tank and no ducktail on seat. This bike has been kept mostly original which is not common for a bike of this age. Repainted in 2014. Engine fully rebuilt in 2016 by Bernie Stevenson - $9000 spent, with only about 2000 kms since. I purchased it in 2020 as a project to turn it into a 900 Sport look alike but haven’t got around to it. I purchased parts such as fuel tank, single seat, clip ons etc. which could be negotiated in purchase price if wanted. Mechanically freshened up in 2024.
