Tasmania H.O.G Rally 2020
Located in the South East of Tasmania in the Coal River Valley, it is approximately 24kms from the city of Hobart and central to all directions from East Coast, Tasman Peninsula (home of Port Arthur Penal Colony) and Eagle Hawk Neck, or you can make your way north to the Midland Highway or further south toward the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, Bruny Island or the Huon Valley, once famous for the apple industry. The Richmond Village established around 1824. In 1804 a coal seam was discovered and the area was first called Coal River, it now is the hub of many wineries, cheese factories and a wildlife park. The town has many historical attractions such as the Gaol, the Hotel and many other historical buildings. It is a popular destination for interstate visitors and locals who make their way to Richmond to wander through the streets, check out the convict-built bridge and meander along the river and feed the wild bird life that lives along the river bank.
