GRENFELL VJMC MOTORCYCLE SHOW N SHINE
Motorcyclists... Are you looking for somewhere to go this June long weekend?
Consider making the trip to Grenfell, NSW. Just four hours west of Sydney, every road leading into town is one worth travelling.
Grenfell is the birthplace of Henry Lawson, one of Australia's most famous poets born on Grenfell's gold fields in 1867. To commemorate his birth and his contribution to the arts, Grenfell hosts annually The Grenfell Henry Lawson Festival of Arts on the June long weekend. The main festival parade, street stalls, busking etc is on Saturday.
On the Sunday June 7th, there's a long-running and very popular car show. And now back for our second year, a full motorcycle show n shine event. There's 19 trophies up for grabs in the motorcycle show, thanks to support from VJMC Australia and Repco. Entry for judging is just $10 per bike (card or cash). Free for spectators/display-only bikes. There will be food and market stalls on the day also. All bikes need to be parked and registered by 10am, with judging to commence at 10.30am.
Grenfell is also home to beautiful painted silos (you can park your bike immediately in front of them for a photo) and they are lit up in pretty colours at night!
Although accommodation may be in short supply by now in Grenfell, there's plenty of free camping available at the Grenfell Railway Station, with clean seating areas, BBQs, and amenities with coin operated hot showers. All within short walking distance of the festival, takeaways, pubs and shops.
We hope to see you there!
