Shannons are giving you the chance to win a new Indian Chief Dark Horse and a classic ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in their latest competition.
Up to 12 months insurance and roadside cover for both the bike and the car is also included.
The 2022-model Indian Chief Dark Horse up for grabs is powered by the Thunderstroke 116 (1890cc) v-twin that produces 171Nm and is matched to a six-speed transmission and belt final drive.
Finished in Black Smoke satin paint (one of three colours available for 2022) with blackout treatment of the engine, exhaust system and cast alloy wheels, the Chief Dark Horse on offer also features telescopic fork front suspension and twin shock rear suspension, 300mm disc brakes with ABS, LED lighting, drag bars and keyless ignition.
Made for cruising, with three ride modes – Tour, Standard and Sport – as well as cruise control, mid-mount pegs and a 662mm seat height, the Chief Dark Horse also features a 4-inch digital touchscreen that displays essential bike instrumentation and can also display turn-by-turn navigation, let you answer and decline calls, and also manage your music via a Bluetooth device.
The Indian Chief Dark Horse is priced from $25,995.
The Firebird Trans Am on offer is a 1977 model that’s been sympathetically restored and features all the signature Special Edition Trans Am details made famous by the ‘Bandit,’ including the black and gold paint scheme, gold snowflake wheels and ‘Screaming Chicken’ bonnet decal.
Under the bonnet, the restored car runs an authentic 6.6-litre (400ci) naturally aspirated V8, matched to a Turbo Hydra Matic auto transmission.
Highly sought after today, ‘Bandit’ Trans Ams can sell for around US$100,000 at auction, while in 2016, a Trans Am used as promotional car for the movie sold at auction for US$550,000.
Up to 12 months’ Shannons Comprehensive Car and Bike Insurance is included for both the Indian Chief Dark Horse and the Trans Am, as well as 12 months’ Shannons Roadside Assist for both.
If the competition winner is a Shannons Club member, they’ll also receive $5,000 cash.
In total, the prize pack is valued at up to $110,000.
